The Beltloops and Pins:

See bottom of page for information regarding available Beltloops and Pins and requirements.

Some general info about the loops & pins.  The beltloops require completion of 3 activities. The Pins are a continuation of the beltloops, most pins require an additional 5 activities, some require more and some require less.  It is the responsibility of the parents as well as the Den leaders to notify the Awards Coordinator or Cub Master if you think your scout has fulfilled the requirements, these people have the official definitions of the requirements but have some discretion to use a broader definition.  For the most part if your child is doing their school work, participating in school field trips, or participating in a sport they have met the requirements - so just ask!!

We are all about positive re-enforcement.  Note: There are no beltloops or pins for the martial arts or wrestling at this time, so we have traditionally been awarding the Physical Fitness loops & pins for those activities.

Also note that the beltloops & pins do change from time to time, so don’t be surprised if something that was available one year is not during the next.

There is a form that can be used to notify the Leaders that your scout has completed the requirements A neatly written note or even an email will do just fine.

The Webelos Activity Badges:

The Webelos Activity Badges are very similar to the Cub Scout pins as they have specific requirements.

It is not a requirement to have obtained the beltloop & pin prior to obtaining the Activity Badge - but we do encourage this.  While the Leaders have some leeway in these awards there is not as much room as with the Cub Scout pins & beltloops.  Again if you have any questions - just ask.  Here is the list of badges:

Artist, Aquanaut, Athlete, Citizen, Communicator, Craftsman, Engineer, Family Member, Forester, Geologist, Handyman, Naturalist, Outdoorsman, Physical Fitness, Readyman, Scholar, Scientist, Showman, Sportsman, Traveler.
